June Birthdays, A Visit from John, Cindy, Tom and Joan, and Father's Day

June Birthdays, A Visit from John, Cindy, Tom and Joan, and Father's Day

We have two grandaughters with
birthday's in June.  Kyra Lexi turned sweet 16 on June 12th ( she shares her birthday with Joan!) and London turned 1 on June 15th!

Kyra's B Day

Kyra loves Krispiy Kreme Donuts - so her birthday cake is made of donuts!

Birthday Girl - London
London, who is usually called Londy, Lulu or Londy Lou, turned 1 year old on June 15th.
She has a cute, little personality and as Conrad says, "She's got ATTITUDE!"
She can definitely let people know what she wants and what she doesn't want with squeals, batting at you and arching her back if she isn't happy.  I think that she has important work to do on this earth and she needs to be strong willed and determined to accomplish her assignments. She is the only family baby now and a favorite of all the cousins.
London loves to crawl under the sofa table in our great room - she thinks that little shelf is just right to sit on.

Father's Day

We gathered at Tricia and James home for dessert and of course to honor all the fathers in the group.  The kids all went in together to give Hal a special gift.
It was  carefully packed with Styrofoam in a cardboard box and took a few minutes to open and reveal the contents.  I love Ella's movement's and interest as the box is opened.
Hal loves world  globes and this one is made with a ball within a ball and somehow rotates whenever it is in the light - it is fascinating to watch.
Conrad had organized the purchase of the gift and knew exactly how it worked!

A Visit from John, Cindy, Joan and Tom

The Sunday of Kay and Ken's Mission Report was the same Sunday as Treygan's Mission Farewell.  We really wished that we could have been in 2 places at once - but of course that was impossible.  John and Cindy arrived on Thursday to stop for a visit with us on their way to Saint George to attend Kay and Ken's homecoming.  We enjoyed the opportunity to visit with them. - we don't get to see them very often.
Hal and John went golfing Friday morning and in the afternoon we went on a drive up Payson Canyon.  We stopped  and hiked in to see
The Grotto  - a favorite spot just off the canyon road road for a short hike.

Hal and Patty in The Grotto

We then drove up the canyon further and stopped a one of the Payson Lakes.

It was a beautiful drive and fun to be together. That Friday evening, Tom and Joan arrived and we had a wonderful time all together!
Saturday morning,  the guys golfed, we ate breakfast together and then they all left to continue their trip south to St. George.
