We returned Wednesday from a 10 day trip to Idaho and Oregon. First, we atended Taylor's Mission Farewell in Boise. We enjoyed visiting with family and saying our goodbyes to Taylor. (We are hoping to see him during his 3 weeks at the Provo MTC). Our next stop was in La Grande, Oregon to spend time with Mary and Lloyd Royer. The Royers served as a senior couple in our mission and are wonderful people and friends!
From La Grande, we travelled to Portland to see Jessica, Adam and Gigi. We then took Gigi and Jessica with us for a 2 night stay on the Oregon Coast - poor Adam had to work and couldn't go with us. We loved getting to know Gigi better - she now actually likes her Grandma and Grandpa Mickelsen!!
We travelled back to Idaho and spent time with our friends - Bob and Susan Taylor and visited other Caldwell friends as well. We made our last stop in Featherville to visit Hal's brother - David. We returned home tired but happy!

I loved looking at all of your pictures. You look so good, Patty. I love your hair. Something's different with that hair, but I can't figure out what! You look good, too, Hal. Magic tricks, huh? Why doesn't that surprise me?
ReplyDeleteWe had so much fun with you guys at the coast and at our home! Gigi loved spending time with you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun getaway! I'm so glad you guys got to see Taylor before he entered the MTC; I'm sure all of the Morrises were tickled you could be there. Your friends, the Royers, look so sharp and that's cool that you could reconnect. Gigi is a little dollie and I know how that is when you aren't around a little grandkid often, she/he has to get to know you all over again each time. I'll bet Jessica and Adam were so glad you came visiting. Glad Taylors are still kickin' - they're great people! You do look great, Patty! Age isn't hurting that pretty face!
ReplyDeleteWhat an eventful trip! It looks like a lot of fun. I've always wanted to go to the Oregon coast.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming to Taylor's send off. It meant a lot to have family there. We love you!! Sorry we missed you on the back side of your trip.
ReplyDeleteGigi is sure growing up. Glad you had a nice trip!
ReplyDeleteMy great aunt and uncle have a farm out in La Grande. I remember visiting when I was younger. Oregon is such a beautiful place. Gigi is a little cutie!
