Thanksgiving

I love fall colors and it is fun to decorate for the season. Below are some pictures of my table and couch table and a craft I made this year.

I saw an idea on Pinterest showing how to make blue and white pumpkins and gourds look like porcelain using Dollar Store items. I first painted the pumpkins & gourds with white chalk paint, and then decoupaged the blue and white designs which I cut from paper dinner napkins. I removed the stems from the items and spray painted them with a metallic paint. They turned out okay, but I'm not sure they look like porcelain and they didn't quite look like the ones on Pinterest! It was however, a fun project!

We had 27 people for Thanksgiving dinner. Evan's Family minus Treygan (who was with Brytan's family in St. George) but, plus a young man that Kyra is dating.

 We also had Allison and Jon's family plus Estella, who Alex is dating. 

The cousins have so much fun when they are together!

Hal's Trip to Cabo San Lucas

Hal, Evan and John left for a week long golf-a-thon trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico  on November 30th.

They had a great time golfing, eating yummy food and they even went whale watching.

Early December

We saw this stag deer one morning in our back yard!

"Come Follow Me" Lesson and Celebration of October, November and December Birthdays.

We met at Tricia and James' home for our lesson and then we celebrated 3 months-worth of birthdays. Due to our kids and grandkids taking turns having Covid , we hadn't been able to get together for this for 3 months! Our October birthdays are:

Lillian, Allison and Hal. Our November birthdays are - Preston, Patty, Treygan and Conrad. James is our only December birthday!!

I didn't take many photos that evening! We enjoyed lemon meringue pie and German chocolate cake for the treats and then we played a game together!

It was a great family evening!

The Christmas Star

Beautiful view of the night sky!

We had some beautiful views of the Christmas Star on the evening of December 21 as Saturn and Jupiter aligned! It was awesome! Perhaps it was the phenomenon that the shepherds and Wisemen observed at the time of Christ's birth!
