Jewels of June Part I

Our June  had some great events and began with Ella's cute dance recital.  The theme of the program was "If I could give a gift to the world..." - Ella danced in "The Gift of Reading" dance number.
Our little dance star!

Each dancer was given a certificate and a tiny box with a tiny gift!

Hailey's Baby Shower and the arrival of London

June 11, 2016
A group of family and friends gathered at  Pizza Factory for lunch together and Hailey's baby shower.
After our yummy lunch, Hailey opened her gifts.  She received some great things to give the baby a good start!

London Patricia Mickelsen arrived just 4 days after the baby shower on -June 15, 2016

Ragnar and time with grandkids

Jessica, Adam, Tricia, James and Allison and Jon all ran in the Wasatch Back - Logan to Midway Ragnar Relay.  They worked hard running night and day but said they had a great time.
I watched Allison and Jon's kids as well as Dex during the two day race.  This gave Hailey a couple of days with new baby London and, the other kids were really helpful in watching Dex.
The Woidka kids were all involved in the Spanish Fork Youth Arts Festival.  This is a 2 week summer program offering a variety of classes for kids and teens.  They held their final event on Friday - June 17th, during the Ragnar - so I took the kids to the Sharing Showcase.
Ella with her Fairy Garden
Ella took the class on making a fairy garden and Lillian took the macrame class and made a dream catcher.
Alex and Sam both enrolled in the Discover Magic class and their part on the program was performing some of the tricks they had learned.
Evie took the Children's Arts and Crafts class.  With the program, display and refreshments, it was a full afternoon.
Evie chose a cupcake with blue frosting and it left its mark!
Dex watched most of the program but what he liked best was the cupcakes!

Saturday

The next day, we all went to two parks for an outing.  Park number one had some fun and unique playground equipment.

The kids had fun climbing and playing at this playground.
Alex was good to stay with Dex and watch him as he climbed and played.
At lunchtime, we left this first park and drove to an older park in Spanish Fork that had more shade.
We had a picnic together and the kids played in this second park.  Alex convinced Dex to try out the swing and he loved it!!
