"Tales of the Arabian Nights"
Alex and Lillian took parts in this cute play produced by the Spanish Fork Youth Theatre. The cast had been preparing and rehearsing for 6 months; and this preparation was evident in the show.
Alex in his role: Grand Vizier
Multiple Arabian tales called for each actor and actress to take multiple parts. Here Alex takes the part of the Cobra.
Lillian also played more than one part.
Here she is playing the part of a Magician Dancer.
Lillian's second role was that of one of Ali Baba's 40 thieves.
Lillian also took the part of a Slave of the Ring for the tale of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp.
Our stars after the performance
It was an enjoyable evening watching this delightful production.
An Evening With Elder M. Russell Ballard
Working with the Spanish Fork Stake YSA Institute provided us with an invitation and tickets to the yearly evening with a General Authority. We decided to take a little getaway to SLC for this event. We arrived in the early afternoon, checked into our hotel, and then ate lunch at the Blue Iguana. After lunch we went shopping at the City Creek Mall.
That evening we went to the tabernacle for an opportunity to hear Elder Ballard speak.
Elder Ballard gave an excellent talk on how to become a better gospel teacher and learner.
We were captured by one of the cameras filming this event.
After the program, we were invited to attend a buffet supper at the Conference Center. The food was yummy and it was a most pleasant evening!
You guys are famous, just like your grandkids. Looks like a great production. So fun that you get to attend those special events.
